Doncaster Chamber Awards Finalist: Ryehan Amir

I am extremely happy to announce that I have been shortlisted as a finalist for the Doncaster Chamber’s Rising Star of The Year award. On December the 14th 2017 I will be going head to head with Doncaster’s future rising stars.

The Rising Star of The Year category criteria –

‘’This award provides you with the opportunity to nominate and acknowledge an employee from your business who, in your opinion, has a promising bright future and has already shown an outstanding performance in the past year within the workplace.

Open to entrants between 18 -24 years old, either in a part-time, full time or an apprenticeship role the judges will be looking for how hard work and commitment, coupled with a positive attitude has proven already some demonstrable benefits to your business.’’

Being announced as a finalist for the Doncaster Chamber Awards is a huge achievement for both myself and ESC Global. The Chamber claim on their website that their business award is the most prestigious ceremony in the region and it is also the biggest business award in Yorkshire so to have a potential chance of winning this award is great, and I look forward to getting dressed up for the big night!

I would like to say thank you to Debbie and Victoria Slingsby for putting their faith and trust in me when they put my name forward for the Rising Star of The Year award. The team at ESC Global Ltd have all been fantastic, they have all supported me and I could not ask for a better team to work and develop alongside of!

Keith Slingsby, managing director at ESC Global Ltd said –

‘’ I was thrilled to hear the news that ESC Global’s very first apprentice, Ryehan Amir, has been short listed for the 2017 Doncaster Chambers Raising Star Award. It’s wonderful to see Ryehan acknowledged as a young man who stands out from the crowd. We believe Ryehan has an exciting future of ahead of him, and we are proud to be playing such a crucial part in his development and training by sponsoring him through his accounting apprenticeship. Ryehan’s contribution to our business over the past year has been exceptional and we hope this continues as Ryehan enters his second year of employment with us, and begins his AAT level 3. We hope the judges see the potential in him that we do, and everyone at ESC Global has fingers crossed for the awards night.’’

To be in with a shout of winning the award, the contestants were subject to a two-stage review process. First an application form was completed and submitted by a company representative, these were assessed and if successful the second stage was a 1:1 interview with 2 judges.

The Doncaster Chamber awards will take place on the 14th of December 2017, at the Doncaster Racecourse, I look forward to seeing you all there.
