Ryehan Amir, ESC Global Ltd’s level 3 accounting apprentice has been announced as a finalist for this years South Yorkshire and North Midlands apprenticeship awards.
Johnston Press, who are the parent company of The Star, the Doncaster Free Press and the Sheffield Telegraph launched the awards to recognise the value of on-the-job training. Due to success of the awards ceremony in 2017, it is now going in to its second successive year. Their aim is to celebrate the hard work of the region’s apprentices and training providers who gone on above the expectation of the employers and proven their future potential. The categories range from apprentice of the year for each of the area’s main towns, including Doncaster, to employer of the year for each of the different sized companies in the region.
In the past 6 months, Ryehan has been shortlisted as a finalist for three different awards, the first being Doncaster Chamber’s Rising Star of the year, secondly as Doncaster College’s Business support apprentice of the year and now Johnston Press’s North Midlands South Yorkshire Doncaster’s apprentice of the year. Being a finalist in 3 consecutive awards is a big achievement for Ryehan, just like the previous two awards, it shows that his work and progress is getting noticed and appreciated, and what’s a better way to celebrate than a ceremony with catered food, entertainment and a certificate with a trophy to take home to say well done.
The ceremony takes place ON THE 15th May 2018, at the Showroom Workstation, 15 Paternoster Row, Sheffield, S1 2BX
